Key Responsibilities Work with stakeholders to design, build and maintain mission critical systems. Working closely with the Lead Infrastructure Engineer to identify demand and support with the resolution of incidents. Manage and coordinate server patching and infrastructure update cycles. Maintaining ongoing alignment of the Microsoft Azure / Microsoft 365 tenants in accordance to published national blueprints. Assist with annual IT Health Check (ITHC) and remediation activity. Work in collaboration with Information Security to ensure ongoing infrastructure compliance. Log and maintain regular, accurate updates on all incidents, requests and assets within the Service Management Tool, ensuring all resolutions are well-documented in the technical knowledge base. Act as an escalation point for the Service Desk, providing support, guidance and knowledge sharing regarding infrastructure system issues. Participate in the rollout of new programmes, software upgrades/patches and contribute to the change process - ensure user groups are kept informed ahead of any potential disruption. Liaise with internal and external customers and 3rd party suppliers for the ordering and delivery of goods and services. Monitor and review the quality of service delivered, analysing trends and patterns to proactively address issues and enhance the ICT Service. Maintain a portfolio of own skills, identifying any skills gaps that could impact the ability to meet business demands, and have confidence to proactively communicate these to line management. Occasional requirement to attend site. Participation in an on-call rota following completion of the probationary period. Key Criteria At least 3 year's experience as an ICT Infrastructure Engineer, or a similar ICT role. Experience in ITIL Service Management practices, with a good understanding of the ITIL framework, ideally in the Policing, Defence, or UK Public Sectors. Experience in designing, implementing and managing infrastructure solutions, including on-premises and cloud based environment, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure Services. Demonstrated ability to design, contribute to and deliver technology roadmaps to a high standard. Experienced problem solver with excellent analytical skills in a highly technical environment. Possessing a broad technical skill set and a commitment to personal development. You should hold, or be able to demonstrate knowledge of industry qualifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert (MS-102) and Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102) Capable of managing tasks and prioritising workload efficiently while meeting deadlines. Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a way that is easily understood by customers and internal stakeholders. Demonstrate high levels of integrity and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information. Security clearance level: NPPV3 and SC (this is not a prerequisite and can be applied for following a provisional offer of employment).
