Geo-tech Drilling and Irata Manager Rail & Civil Engineering Regional Office - Cumbernauld, Scotland An outstanding opportunity for a specialist Geo-tech Drilling and Irata manager to join our team in Scotland and playing a key role in the delivery of a portfolio of projects throughout Scotland. Business Unit A busy and fast paced project and maintenance environment involving in a range of multi-disciplinary civil engineering projects, working for a varied range of clients including Local Authorities, Network Rail and Environmental. Projects can typically include civil engineering works and infrastructure projects such as: Highways & Roads, underbridges, overbridges and footbridges, tunnels, flood alleviation & repairs, earthworks & embankments and rail platforms and station infrastructure etc. We currently have a number of live infrastructure projects and long term renewals and maintenance frameworks underway including Civils Asset Management (CAM), Renewals Enhancement Framework (REF) and a Slabtrack framework. The Role This position will be embedded in the existing Operational team delivering a portfolio of asset management /maintenance works throughout the Scotland rail network. As Geo-tech Drilling and Irata Manager, you will be directly responsible for the daily management of various asset maintenance and / or project schemes within our portfolio of works, specifically around geo-tech drilling/rock netting and Irata rope access techniques. Day to day responsibilities include but will not be limited to: Fulfil the Geo-tech drilling and irata managers responsibilities as laid down in the Company’s Health & Safety Policy. Help support and build a motivated and skilled inhouse Geo-tech drilling and irata team Engauge with the client to ensure we are managing their geo-tech portfolio Engauge with our design partners through structured design meetings Day to day management of all site processes – ensuring compliance with geo-tech design and irata compliance procedures Ensure management of our supervision and workforce through engagement and audits Engauge with our suppliers to review materials, equipment and small items of plant. Plan and programme work Communicate Work Package Plans, Task Briefings, Toolbox Talks and Safety Alerts to workforce. Carry out routine checks and record information in accordance with company procedures. Liaise with public, local council officials, and Client. Being the company site representative and ensuring a positive company image is portrayed at all times. Assist the project team with change assessments by producing appropriate records on file promptly when requested. Ensure quality of WPP / TBS for CRE sign off Oversee White Board Briefs, ensuring our site teams are proficient Deliver Toolbox Talks Plant and Labour returns Procure Plant & Materials. Contribute to planning works on a daily basis. Plan efficient use of resource. Accurate record keeping. Site Diary Site reports to Client. Monitor site progress against programme. Weekly SHEQ. Close call reporting Requirements To excel in this role, you will have previous experience as a Geo-tech Drilling and Irata Manager.
