Fulbridge Social Care is recruiting experienced and trainee Residential Youth Workers to join our casual team. The role involves working in children’s residential homes and independent living settings. We seek flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals eager to work in a specialist environment where full training and qualifications are provided.
The position involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to young people with challenging behavior and complex needs, aiming to create an environment that caters to their intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
You will work with young people aged 11 to 18 who are in the care system for various reasons, with diverse disorders, behaviors, and needs. The role requires confidence, patience, and skills to make a positive impact on their lives.
Responsibilities include supporting young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping. You will also interact with professionals like social workers, probation officers, and police officers, supporting young people in environments such as classrooms, courts, and police stations.
A driving license is essential, as you will need to drive the unit car to destinations like family contacts, school, and social activities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Build strong professional relationships with service users and staff
2. Maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for young people and staff
3. Keep all communication and information systems up to date
4. Participate actively in meetings
5. Support young people in managing their behavior using approved skills
6. Promote equality and acknowledge individual differences
7. Protect service users from abuse by staff, visitors, or other service users
8. Write accurate reports and maintain records for monitoring purposes
9. Attend all required training and achieve relevant qualifications
10. Attend work reliably and punctually, following a set shift pattern
11. Stay informed about procedures and policy updates
12. Ensure health and safety for yourself and others
13. Perform any additional duties relevant to the role
