Inpatient Therapy Team Manager (Internal Only)
This position is open to staff working at the Trust in the 'ECT Family' this includes current East Cheshire NHS Trust employees, bank staff, ISS staff and volunteers at the Trust. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from applicants not listed within these groups.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager role fixed term until 31st October 2025 within the Inpatient Therapy team.
This role will predominantly focus on providing clinical and managerial leadership for the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Team delivering Inpatient Therapy services, but will also involve working closely with a Team Manager colleague to provide support across Adult Therapy services within East Cheshire NHS Trust.
Experience providing clinical inpatient therapy services and also leading inpatient therapy services is essential.

Main duties of the job
To act as a Team Manager for the Inpatient Therapy teams based at Macclesfield District General Hospital, supporting the Head of Allied Health Professionals in the operational management of the teams.
You will be responsible and accountable to the Head of Allied Health Professions and you will be responsible for Advanced clinical Specialist Physiotherapists & Occupational Therapists, Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists & Occupational Therapists, Associate Practitioners, Assistants, Administrative and Clerical Staff and Students.
The team delivers therapy input across a range of clinical areas, including Intensive care, surgical wards, medical wards, Trauma and elective wards, elderly care and within the medical assessment unit and A&E.

Qualifications
* HCPC registration
* Attendance at diploma level post graduate courses relevant to the specialist area or equivalent experience
Experience
* Experience of managing a group of staff to deliver patient care
* Proven post registration experience, in the relevant specialism
* Experience of planning and completing audit / research
* Experience of teaching and mentoring of staff
* Experience of undertaking projects
* Experience of using a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care
* Experience of implementing improvements in practice / protocols and procedures
* Demonstrable evidence of implementing change in the clinical environment
