Overview
We are currently recruiting for an M&E Site Supervisor on behalf of a leading Mechanical & Electrical design and build contractor.
The company offers a complete end-to-end design and installation service for projects throughout the UK, primarily within commercial and industrial projects such as hotel and leisure, healthcare, retail, distribution warehouses, and education.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated M&E Site Supervisor to join a project in Dartford, Kent, consisting of 3 new build warehouse units. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supervising the installation of mechanical and electrical services, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the construction process. The role would start late May/early June 2025 and last until practical completion of the buildings in October 2025.
Role Description
1. Induction and supervision of various sub-contractors ensuring risk assessments and method statements are complied with and updated as necessary to ensure a safe working environment.
2. Undertake and record safety checks of equipment.
3. Conduct daily Toolbox Talks to promote a culture of safety and awareness.
4. Ensure works are proceeding to the contract programme and have the ability to re-schedule works if necessary to ensure works are completed in a timely manner.
5. Ensure works are in accordance with the contract drawings and specification.
6. Carry out and record quality checks on installations.
7. Report on progress to the M&E Contracts Managers.
8. Liaison with the main contractor on a daily basis.
Skills & Attributes
1. Demonstrable knowledge in electrical and mechanical systems.
2. SMSTS / SSSTS qualification.
3. CSCS Gold card or higher.
4. Strong communication skills with good interpersonal abilities.
5. Background history working on commercial projects.
6. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (MS Word, Excel).
7. Analytical and methodical in approach to problem solving.
