About the Role We are looking for a highly experienced and dedicated Registered Manager (RM) to lead and manage a specialist children's residential service. This is a crucial operational role, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance within a multi-agency framework. Our provision consists of three residential homes, two of which are adjacent, while the third is located two miles away. Each unit accommodates one young person with highly challenging behaviors, requiring a high staff-to-young person ratio of 4:1 or greater. This role would be managing one of these residential homes. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Management - Oversee daily operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality care environment. Ofsted Compliance - Maintain and exceed regulatory requirements, working towards an Outstanding rating. Safeguarding - Ensure the welfare, safety, and protection of young people at all times. Staff Development - Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team, ensuring staff feel supported and motivated. Multi-Agency Collaboration - Work closely with social workers, psychologists, therapists, and education providers. Service Development - Play a key role in shaping current and future strategies for the service. Care Planning - Implement individualized care plans tailored to the needs of each young person. Continuous Improvement - Conduct audits, reviews, and implement action plans for service enhancement. Financial Oversight - Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure service efficiency. Who We're Looking For Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) (or equivalent). Proven Registered Manager experience in an Ofsted-regulated children's home. Outstanding Ofsted rating preferred (Exceptional candidates with a Good rating will be considered). Strong knowledge of safeguarding, compliance, and Children's Homes Regulations 2015. Experience managing children with EBD and mental health needs in a residential setting. Leadership skills - Ability to mentor, motivate, and develop a skilled team.
