MFD Technical Specialist
Location: Home Field-Based (Northern Midlands Region)
Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE Package (Car/Car Allowance, 10% Bonus, Private Medical & More)
Are you a skilled MFD engineer with a passion for new technology and relationship management? We're working with a global leader in print and imaging to find a Technical Specialist who will play a crucial role in supporting their UK expansion.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, enjoys delivering training, and excels at building strong partnerships. You'll work with cutting-edge Multi-Functional Devices (MFDs) and provide hands-on technical expertise to resellers and partners, ensuring best-in-class service and support.
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Act as the go-to technical expert, supporting and developing partners' service teams.
2. Deliver technical training to partners and service providers, both remotely and in person.
3. Provide advanced second-level technical support for hardware and software issues.
4. Manage escalated cases, ensuring timely resolution within SLAs and KPIs.
5. Conduct product performance reviews, driving continuous improvements.
6. Oversee warranty claims and spare parts management, working closely with supply chain teams.
7. Maintain strong communication with partners to enhance service levels and satisfaction.
8. Escalate unresolved issues to senior technical teams, providing detailed reports.
9. Contribute to the development and implementation of technical strategies.
The Person
An experienced MFD engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving complex problems, and ensuring customer success.
Experience:
1. At least three years in a senior technical field support role working on Multi-Functional Device equipment.
2. Proven experience in delivering training to end users and channel partners.
Skills & Attributes:
1. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for software and hardware issues.
2. Solid understanding of operating systems, network technologies, and office software.
3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information simply.
4. Confident in delivering engaging and informative training sessions.
5. Tenacious, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
6. Commercially aware with an eye for leveraging competitive advantages.
Other Requirements:
1. Full UK driving licence.
2. Willingness to travel as part of the role across the North and Midlands, but occasionally further afield.
