We are recruiting for an experienced, reliable and well qualified electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a proven track record in electrical works, have great problem-solving abilities and can effectively work with a team to deliver high-quality workmanship to our valued clients.
Role Overview
The Electrical Supervisor will provide technical support and training for electricians, as well as dealing with day-to-day supervision of electricians, communicating Company procedures and Client specific requirements to ensure an effective and complaint workflow. Lead & supervise the field based operational EICR testing team of electricians and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Perform and act operationally and strategically with a constant eye on achieving high performance standards, meeting the business and clients’ expectations.
Supporting the Contract Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a commitment to quality of work and professional attitudes for future development of the business, creating an environment which encourages employee development, good employee relations, teambuilding, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Day to day supervision of the field-based team, including supervising and monitoring staffing levels, annual leave, sickness absence, reviewing and supervising performance and quality and carrying out investigations
Support the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance works across domestic and/or commercial environments
Support with the mobilising new contracts and ensure effective operational duties on existing contracts, attending contract meetings when required
Deal with field-based team enquiries and where possible act as the first point of contact to informally resolve any issues and concerns to a satisfactory solution
Lead on performance and quality, assist with technical support and mentoring and training/development of electricians
Ensure all KPI’s are met along with contractual compliance and delivered within set budgets
Carry out post inspection quality checks, to pre-determined agreed target volumes, and provide reports for management to meet Client requirements and to identify future training and technical support requirements
Conduct regular van audits, monitor parts usage/spend ensuring regular van stock checks are undertaken Lead on communication including carryout toolbox talks and delivering any company information as required to the field-based team
Assist in stock management, tool allocation, and materials planning
Undertake regular performance data production, analysis and reporting
Deliver action plans, to ensure timely work completion, at site where allocated resources have been unable to provide corrective repair
Ensure compliance with all company standards, policies, and procedures
Work closely with HR colleagues on employee related issues that may occur throughout the employee lifecycle
Any further duties as deemed necessary by the Company
Required Technical Knowledge / Qualifications:
NVQ level 3 in electrical installations, or equivalent (essential)
City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and testing qualification, or equivalent (essential)
18th edition Wiring Regulations BS7671 qualification (essential)
Valid UK driving Licence (essential)
Previous practical experience in a supervisory role and ideally experience in working in domestic electrical installations
Excellent leadership, communication skills with the ability to resolve issues promptly and effectively
