Band 2 Clinical Imaging Assistant Ultrasound Pilgrim Hospital, Boston.
Full time post 37.5 hours including weekend shifts on a rota basis.
The Radiology Department provides diagnostic services to the people of Boston and surrounding areas. The successful applicant will be expected to provide support across Ultrasound. There is a requirement for weekend ultrasound working on a rota basis.
Administration tasks such as reception duties are also part of the role.
We require an enthusiastic and motivated individual to provide both clinical and administrative duties within the Ultrasound Service at Pilgrim Hospital.
You will provide support to sonographers in the clinical environment, which may involve dealing with patients who are very ill or distressed.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be based at Pilgrim Hospital Boston, however there will be the requirement to rotate at peripheral sites, such as Skegness and Spalding. They will support and work alongside registered health care professional sonographers.
The post holder will perform routine administrative duties including patient reception and registering which requires a high level of confidentiality.
This vacancy requires an excellent communicator, able to deal with people on all levels. They should be empathetic and level headed and able to cope with situations as they arise. The role is varied and evolving and the person appointed will become a key member of our team.
Please note that this post is worked over 7 days and will include weekend working on a rota basis.

This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire. Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).

Qualifications
Essential
1. GCSE English at grade C or above
Desirable
1. NVQ Care level II
2. First Aid certificate
3. Basic Life Support
4. NVQ Customer Service level II
Previous experience
Essential
1. Working experience in a hospital environment or health care environment
Desirable
1. Multi-disciplinary Team, radiology work, direct patient care.
2. Experience of recent direct patient care.
3. Experience within a Radiology Department.
4. Previous experience of reception work

1. Communication skills
