Could you be our new In Memory Fundraiser
St Elizabeth Hospice are seeking a passionate, proactive and inspiring In Memory & Individual Giving Fundraiser. We have an exciting opportunity in the Fundraising Team for someone to join us. The holder of the role will work as a key member of the Individual Giving Team contributing to the successful delivery of the Fundraising Strategy and maximising income.
Working as a member of the Individual Giving team within the Income Generation and Marketing Directorate, the post holder is responsible for working with the Individual Giving Manager to implement the individual giving strategy to grow income within this area. Income streams included in this are in memory donations and events, direct mail appeals and regular giving. The role will support the generation of funds across Ipswich, Great Yarmouth and Waveney.
This is a hybrid role and if you live in Great Yarmouth and Waveney you will work at home and be based at St Elizabeth Hospice offices in Beccles and Gorleston. If you are based closer to Ipswich, there is the opportunity to work from the office at the Ipswich site on Foxhall Road. You can be based in either area for this role.
The ideal candidate will have a good level of empathy and compassion when engaging with supporters and those living in the local community. You will need to be a good communicator and a team player. You will be a keen learner and good at developing relationships with people who support the hospice at any point throughout their bereavement journey.
Join us and you’ll become part of our team that cares about the work they do and the people they work with to make a difference for local people.
St Elizabeth Hospice is committed to safeguarding and protecting the adults and young people that we work with and has a zero-tolerance approach to abuse, neglect and discrimination of any person. St Elizabeth Hospice are here for individuals who are living with progressive or life-limiting illnesses wherever we are needed; in their home, in the community or at the in-patient unit at our Ipswich hospice and we have to generate over 70% of our funding ourselves. Our Income generation team are key in helping us achieve this.
