This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and forward thinking eye care service team comprising 20 Consultants, 9 Specialty and Trust Grade Doctors, 4 Specialty trainees, 2 Nurse Practitioners, 10 Orthoptists, 4 Optometrists, 2ACPs and a substantial team of Ophthalmic Nurses, technicians and healthcare assistants. The department also benefits from our Eye Clinic Liaison Officer and 5 Ophthalmology Failsafe Co-ordinators and 5 Ophthalmology Schedulers/Pathway Co-Ordinators and admin support along with a supportive senior management team within the Head and Neck Directorate. Main duties of the job To provide specialist Consultant Led Corneal outpatient clinics: - new and follow-up emergency, routine, post-ops, as well surgical capacity for corneal and emergency patients. To provide teaching and education to trainees, Trust doctors, ACPs Optometrists, Orthoptists, Nurse practitioners to enhance future models of care and expansion within the specialty.
