Energy Centre Engineer
Base location: East London - will be expected to demonstrate flexibility to support the wider business.
Salary: £44,199-£56,113 + London weighting allowance.

Responsibilities

We're supporting businesses with their net zero targets, helping local communities upgrade their homes and collaborating with local authorities to transform towns and cities for a more sustainable future.
Right now, we're looking for an Energy Centre Engineer to contribute to the yearly maintenance plan and undertake all maintenance activities in accordance with E.ON's established systems. You will complete maintenance activities through a balance of hands-on and managing appropriate resources, for all mechanical, electrical and C&I issues that impact/are likely to impact on production ensuring all maintenance plans are managed via the maintenance management system (joblogic).
Using your expertise, you will support the identification and implementation of improvements to all areas that affect plant performance. Delivering and supporting analysis of plant issues, providing technical advice with input into decision making and contract processes. As part of the role you are also responsible for budget management/purchasing authority in designated task areas.
What we need from you
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent along with expertise in general engineering principles, with expertise in a specialist skill area - C&I, Mechanical or Electrical.
* An IOSH (Working Safely) or equivalent qualification as a minimum, demonstrating a clear knowledge of safety practices and management.
* The capability and willingness to achieve E.ON's required competency levels - Authorised Engineer.
* Competent in hazard identification, risk assessment and management of risks.
* A working knowledge of key PC based computer systems and maintenance/information management systems.
* Planning and organisational skills to include effective task prioritisation and resource management.
* The ability to innovate and appropriately challenge existing processes to improve efficiency.
It would be great if you have
* Fork Lift Truck driving experience.
* Contract Management skills to appropriately challenge contractors on the methods, quality and standards of work.
* HV SAP under E.ON Safety Rules.
