Senior Staff Nurse – Urgent Care Centre London: The Wellington Hospital South, 8A Wellington Place, London, NW8 9LE Hours: This is a full-time role working 37.5hrs per week Shifts : Unit open between 8am – 10pm Monday – Sunday so will need to flexible working between these times. Permanent contract Salary: competitive ( DOE) plus 6% shift allowance & Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development) The Wellington Hospital is currently recruiting for a Senior Staff Nurse to join the Urgent Care Centre team As a Senior Staff Nurse at our Urgent Care Centre, you will be providing high quality nursing through assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating care for patients within the Urgent Care. The successful candidate will also promote a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care and the services offered within the Urgent Care Centre. Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and to be accountable for own actions Triage patients according to clinical need and acuity Prioritising workloads and directing staff accordingly Make efficient use of available resources Regularly deputise for the charge nurse, providing management and leadership in their absence Promote team working Assess, plan and deliver care, based on individual patient and family needs Carry out Point of Care Testing duties in as per POCT policy At HCA UK we care about what you care about. What you will bring: Registered Nurse Level 1 NMC Registration and PREP requirements Previous experience working in emergency nursing Triage Skills Recognised post graduate emergency nursing course Phlebotomy training essential Recognised course in plastering techniques desirable Advanced Life Support Course desirable (must have a willingness to undertake if does not hold course) Knowledge of relevant hospital policies and procedures Health and Safety training Lifting and Handling Why HCA UK ?
