My client, a leading Financial Defined Benefit Pensions Company in the Basingstoke Area, is actively looking to recruit a highly skilled DB Pensions Administrator with ideally a minimum of 5 years' experience within DB Pensions.
As a Senior DB Pensions Administrator, you’ll be dealing with pension scheme members, explaining how their pension works, handling complex calculations, and keeping up to date with changes in the world of pensions. Your work will make a real difference, helping us meet our client expectations and communicate effectively with a variety of third parties.

1. Calculate complex retirement quotes and checking.
2. Calculate complex leaver benefits and checking.
3. Calculate complex death benefits and checking.

Skills and Experience:
1. At least 5 years in a DB pensions administration role.
2. Progression in a PMI qualification or equivalent, or willing to study for one.
3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to express complicated ideas in a concise and clear way.
4. Ability to calculate pensions and interpret scheme rules.
5. Proven and significant experience dealing with DB and DC occupational schemes, but mainly as outlined DB.
6. Good awareness of legislative issues.
7. Self-motivation and ability to work autonomously, in line with the responsibilities that the role requires.
8. Ability to meet client SLAs, contribute to good practice, and foster the development of junior team members.
9. Good Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to set up template calculation tools.

2. Deliver pragmatic solutions and apply a logical approach to problem solving.
3. Support and develop team members.
4. Prepare helpful and informative documentation.
5. Talk to pension scheme members, clients, and third parties.
6. Guide scheme members through their pension journey.
7. Provide support to the Team Leader and deputize for them during periods of absence.
8. Check calculations and assist team members with difficult cases and non-standard queries.
