Occupational Therapist Pay Rate: £34 per hour (assignment rate)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Promote Independence: Support adults with disabilities to maximise their independence and quality of life by assessing needs and devising bespoke, person-centred interventions.
2. Person-Centred Approach: Use the social model of disability and evidence-based practices to deliver care that respects individual values, culture, and diversity.
3. Community Equipment & Adaptations Service: Deliver high-quality, integrated community equipment and adaptations to people in their own homes, managing a complex caseload to ensure effective service delivery.
4. Performance Focus: This is a target-driven role, where you will work towards specific performance goals.
5. Manual Handling Expertise: Provide expert clinical advice on manual handling, offering support to colleagues dealing with complex cases.
6. Information & Advice: Where statutory provision is not appropriate, offer guidance on self-directed support.
Requirements of the Social Services Occupational Therapist:
1. Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
2. Recent experience working as an Occupational Therapist
3. Recent experience within social services / local authority / council
4. Registered with the HCPC
