Job Summary
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is particularly interested in fork truck operations. As a Production Operative, you will be an integral team member in the manufacturing of moisture resistant primed and wrapped MDF moulding in order to meet the demands of the construction and home improvement industries and striving to achieve optimum levels of machine efficiency, output and product quality.
The role will predominantly be fork truck operations, but the successful applicant may be required to carry out several duties across production. The successful applicant will receive internal and external fork truck training.
Hours of work
Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 7:00 - 18:30 (42 hours a week)
Night Shift: Monday to Thursday 18:45 - 6:45 (44 hours a week - 22% shift premium applies)
Weekend Shift: Friday to Saturday 7:00 - 18:30, Sunday 7:00 - 16:00 (29.3 hours - 33%shift premium applies)
About The Role
Reporting to the Manufacturing Cell Leader, you will be responsible for: -
* All stores duties according to company procedures.
* Loading/unloading SAM production lines with materials.
* Unloading and storing raw material.
* Loading beam saws.
* Removing packs from the paint line.
* Replenish stock levels with department.
* Transfer goods to the packing line.
* Transfer finished goods from packing line.
* Loading/unloading materials from Lorries.
* Load onto lorries for despatch according to company procedure (Skill Level 3).
* Complete documentation neatly and efficiently and use a computerised stock system.
* Following a schedule, maintain a safe, neat and tidy working area.
* Achieving quality standards and time limits set.
* Compliance of the SAM policies and procedures.
* Take part in meetings/teams/projects as required.
* Carry out all other duties as required.
To be successful you must:
* Be able to communicate in English to understand work instructions and Health & Safety rules.
* Have basic numeracy skills.
Desirable criteria
* Previous experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
* Previous experience operating a fork truck.
* Experience following a production schedule.
