Create Solutions that will enable a better tomorrow
To sustain the growth of our UK business, we are looking for a Commercial Manager to join us. Working in one of our UK offices, you will take charge of overseeing the financial and commercial aspects of our projects and business operations, ensuring their success and profitability.
Your key responsibilities will be:
* Produce and analyse progress reports, and work with project delivery teams to ensure updated forecasts are produced and reported in a timely manner.
* Implement the risk management process, review risk register and check risk controls.
* Ensure a regular review of progress, budget resources and forward planning are carried out, and look ahead programmes are in place.
* Track scope changes and associated time and cost impacts and ensure contractual coverage is in place.
* Build and maintain relationships with internal and external project stakeholders.
* Ensure monthly project reporting timescales are met and collaborate with the UK Project Controls/Finance team to ensure accurate month-end reporting on various projects.
Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future.
Like us, you believe that leadership success comes from setting a clear and meaningful direction for your team and supporting them in taking ownership of their work. You always delegate responsibility and ensure an open and safe dialogue, and you coach your people to achieve their aspirations through constructive, fact-based feedback. Attracting and nurturing a diverse group of high-potential team members is at the top of your agenda, as is creating an inclusive, caring and trusting culture in your team.
On top of that, you’ll have:
* Be chartered or hold a similar professional qualification, for example, MRICS or MICES or working towards a relevant recognised professional qualification.
* Experience of the commercial management of projects in a civil engineering design consultancy or Main Contracting environment.
* In-depth working knowledge of NEC contract conditions, design management, programme and risk management and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting.
* Previous exposure to D&B and JV scheme experience is desired but not essential.
* Significant negotiation and people management skills with the ability to influence decisions.
* Possess good English verbal and written communication and report writing skills.
