Ardingly College is seeking to recruit a Head Steward to oversee the Steward (Portering) team and coordinate their daily tasks.
In this role, the postholder will be responsible for supervising all portering duties, motivating the team and fostering a positive work environment through effective communication channels.
This is a varied role where collaboration with staff and stakeholders is essential to ensure College needs are planned, resourced and fulfilled in an efficient and effective manner.
Main duties will encompass the following:
* Effective team management
* Operational delivery of all portering requirements
* Logistics and transportation
* Budget and resource management
* Confident communication and collaboration
The ideal candidate will have experience in supervising staff along with excellent administration and customer service skills. A full driving licence with the ability to drive different vehicle types is also essential.
Working hours are 42.5 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7. Shifts are 8.5 hours between the hours of 5.30am and 7.30pm.
Salary £32,552 per annum, inclusive of 25 days holiday.
