From evolving regulations to high-profile legal matters, your role will be central to navigating the complex legal framework and ensuring our clients success in delivering the UK's net-zero ambition.
What Will You Be Doing? As a Senior Regulatory Lawyer, you’ll provide essential legal advice and support on regulatory framework, licence conditions, and key legal matters that will shape the future of energy transmission. You’ll work closely with internal teams, business leaders, and external stakeholders, including Ofgem and government departments like DESNZ, to ensure compliance and drive forward strategic objectives. Key responsibilities will include:
* Offering legal insights on regulatory frameworks, licence conditions, and evolving obligations.
* Engaging with key stakeholders to advise on regulatory submissions and industry code modifications.
* Mitigating risks by advising on regulatory issues, investigations, and appeals.
* Influencing policy developments and supporting responses to emerging legislation and government consultations.
* Collaborating across teams, providing training and sharing your expertise with colleagues.
* Helping to guide the UK Legal team and contribute to exciting internal projects.

What We’re Looking For: We’re seeking a qualified solicitor or barrister (with at least 5 years PQE or equivalent experience) who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment. You may work in-house, in a regulator or private practice and specialise in regulatory law.
