Job Description
We are recruiting for a Fleet Compliance Business Partner to join us at Brakes – A Sysco GB Company. This role will cover the South of the UK including Dagenham, Harlow, Aylesford to name a few. You’ll be joining our central support Safety, Training and Fleet Compliance Team, predominantly supporting Operations & Supply Chain, but also dealing with other internal stakeholders, insurers, enforcing bodies, trade bodies and customers.
This is a key role that will entail devising and delivering the Sysco Fleet Compliance strategy to comply with current legislation and company policy, in partnership with the Regional Directors / Senior Managers and Regional Operations teams and company change programmes.
5. Provide professional insight and advice regarding fleet legislation, FORS standard and company policy
6. Build strong collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
7. Maintain a cyclical internal audit plan
8. Support and coach site management across all businesses
9. Identify training needs, develop and support in delivering training solutions
10. Support nationally where there is a business need
11. Support project work and the company change programme
You’ll have experience in both fleet maintenance and logistics operations, along with a proven track record supporting operations through change programmes and evidenced record of continuous improvement to a fleet function aligned to compliance.
This role requires the successful candidate to be based in the South of the UK and hold a full UK driving licence.

Knowledge:
21. Good understanding of driver management, fleet management, logistics and wider industry best practices for operations and compliance management
22. Good understanding of Traffic Commissioner, OCRS, DVSA working practices
23. Clear understanding of Operator Licence undertakings
24. Understanding of Health and Safety Legislation
25. Clear understanding of the company impact from poor performance around OCRS, FORS requirement, Operator Licence failings
Desirable skills:
26. ILM certificate
27. Transport Management Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
28. Experience in Fleet Management, Driver Management, Logistics management
29. Experience with Earned Recognition
30. NEBOSH General Certificate
31. FORS Internal auditor
32. Experience in behavioural change management

This is a home-based regional role, however, will require an expectation of high travel commitment across the South of the UK and working away at our depots, both regionally and nationally throughout the year and as such a good degree of self-motivation and flexibility is required. A full UK driving licence is essential.
