We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Risk Oversight Management to join our Business Risk team in the Liquidity and Financing business platform. This role is located in London, UK. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity within a dynamic business team which has ambitious expansion plans. The role covers multiple different products across the business platform, creating a varied challenge on a daily basis with direct contact with senior management within the business. The Business Risk and Control team is an embedded oversight function in the business. It is an advisory role that requires deep subject matter expertise in the operation of the business, its regulatory framework and BNY internal control requirements. The team: Helps us be more for our clients: Provides oversight to client onboarding, ensuring that our booking principles are adhered to and our clients are onboarded in the correct way for both them and us Helps run the company better Serves as a point of contact for business risk-related issues, overseeing the identification and remediation of any business-related risk events. The successful applicant will be expected to use their creativity and ingenuity to balance efficient, commercial solutions to these issues whilst ensuring they provide risk and regulatory compliance. Provides a centralized view on regulatory matters for the platform, providing guidance and analysis on regulatory change, coordinating regulatory attestations and attending regulatory governance meetings Partners closely with the central Control team to ensure alignment to Markets controls standard and broader firmwide control requirements such as RCSA, surveillance and firmwide committees and council meetings Helps power out culture Manages input across the spectrum of governance meetings, ensuring consistent articulation of ongoing issues, initiatives and change deliverables. Partner with global partners to ensure consistent approach to running the business and effecting change To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: Strong team player, high energy and self-motivated Solution orientated Great interpersonal and communication skills Sound organizational skills and self-discipline in managing priorities Awareness of key regulations including MiFID, CASS/CAP, DGSD, PSD2 rules Bachelor’s degree Awareness of securities lending, collateral, repo and liquidity/ money market fund products preferred Previous experience in a similar role is preferred At BNY, our culture speaks for itself.
