The company’s Head Office is at Westlake's Science and Technology Park in West Cumbria, with systems integration, assembly & testing facilities in Egremont, Cumbria and design offices in Preston, Lancashire. This is augmented by a network of staff working across the UK, creating a dynamic and highly skilled team.
Overview of the role:
As our new Business Development Manager, you will work with the Sector Director – Nuclear, to drive sales growth and maximise profitability across Delkia’s Nuclear portfolio. In this role, you will be the focal point for a large part of the Sales and Business Development within the Nuclear Sector and by using your technical knowledge you will highlight Delkia’s value propositions and be at the forefront of building meaningful customer relationships and fuelling Delkia’s growth in the nuclear sector.
What you’ll be responsible for:
* Drive profitable sales growth for current and new customers within the Delkia nuclear portfolio
* Own and develop multilevel entry points and relationships with customer target accounts
* Work closely with the Sector Director and wider Delkia Sales team to maximise Delkia’s offerings
* Ensure opportunity progression in sales pipeline and conversion to revenue
* Working for the Sector Director - lead Delkia Business Development activity which will involve navigating UK Nuclear Primes to identify new leads whilst nurturing existing contacts - using market information and networking to inform your approach
* Identify, develop, and win new clients and business in the UK Nuclear sector
* Lead the tendering process and submit winning PQQ, bids, tenders and submissions.
* Foster strong relationships with the customers through high quality and frequent customer face to face meetings
* Hold a high level of technical and practical understanding of the sector and apply this for commercial and customer interactions
* This position demands a candidate who is well organised, self-assured and able to work alone or as part of established teams.
What you’ll bring:
* Must have a working knowledge of the nuclear sector and Nuclear Organisation structures
* Must be able to obtain or hold suitable security clearance and be a sole British National.
* Have an engineering background preferably EC&I or Process Engineering to understand the context of the client’s demand.
* Business development background with a proven track record of driving sales growth and maximise profitability.
Nice to have:
* Be incorporated, a Chartered Engineer or similar relevant professional body.
* Understand lifecycle, configuration, and requirements management.
* Have a working knowledge across the wider nuclear capability programmes.
