Job summary The Nurse Practitioner will act within their professional boundaries to provide patient care from initial triage, history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care in the surgery and on home visits. The Nurse Practitioner will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision making process. They will work flexibly and supportively as a key member of the nursing team and wider multidisciplinary practice team maximising efficiency and skill mix. The role is to complement our existing team of excellent Practice Nurses and HCAs who undertake all basic nursing duties, health promotion, chronic disease management and minor illness assessments. You will be expected to work autonomously and undertake face to face clinical assessment of your patient list in 15 minute appointments, making clinical decisions based on experience, knowledge and analytical ability of undiagnosed presentations.
