Overview:

Responsibilities include:
* Protection systems for RAF aircraft and export clients (Typhoon, Apache)
* Technology development for the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), including Tempest fighter project
* Electronic warfare concept demonstrators
* Data analysis using AI and machine learning
As a Systems Engineer, you will work in multidisciplinary teams to integrate engineering and technology into high-performance systems, bridging theoretical and practical aspects.
Typical tasks include:
* Investigating new technology applications in early concept studies
* Defining system requirements with stakeholders
* Conducting trade-offs and performance evaluations
* Enhancing existing system capabilities
* Designing and integrating new functionalities
* Modeling system performance
* Developing capabilities within hardware constraints
* Analyzing anomalies and root causes
* Designing tests and trials
* Leading technical activities and mentoring engineers
* Preparing reports, presentations, and proposals
* Sharing knowledge and best practices
Qualifications and experience required:
* Research experience in industry or academia
* Interest or experience in electronic warfare
* Desire for continuous learning and team collaboration
* Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle (Synthetic Environments, Modeling, Integration, Verification, Validation)
Preferred additional skills:
* Experience with safety, security, or reliability domains
* Specialist knowledge in digital signal processing, RF systems, data fusion, electronic systems, AI/ML, or electronic intelligence
