About the Role
The Corporate Tax practice is a key pillar of this firm’s Tax function, offering expert advice to clients both in the UK and overseas. This is a dynamic and ever-evolving field, with the opportunity to work on high-profile specialisms such as Corporation Tax and the implementation of intelligent technology solutions.
In this role, you’ll provide corporate tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including start-ups, scale-ups, private businesses, and FTSE-listed multinationals. The firm’s varied client base ensures a challenging and rewarding environment, where you’ll develop your skills across a wide range of industries and contexts.
You’ll also collaborate closely with colleagues from other departments, gaining exposure to different areas of the business and helping clients achieve their goals through innovative, multidisciplinary solutions.
Responsibilities
Client Management:
1. Act as a key point of contact for a portfolio of clients, anticipating and responding to their needs.
2. Take full responsibility for the delivery of projects, ensuring assignments are completed within agreed budgets and timelines.
3. Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed and building long-term relationships.
4. Review work prepared by junior team members, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
5. Support the development of team members through mentoring, training, and regular appraisals.
Compliance and Risk Management:
1. Ensure that assignments adhere to the firm’s quality control procedures.
2. Identify and escalate technical and risk issues to senior management as needed.
Business Development:
1. Work closely with senior leaders to identify and pursue business development opportunities.
2. Participate in proposals and pitches for new client engagements.
3. Liaise with other specialist teams within the firm to deliver seamless client service.
4. Share expertise and knowledge by contributing to team technical sessions.

1. Educated to degree level and/or CTA or ACA qualified (or equivalent).
2. Experienced in managing client portfolios, including compliance and advisory services.
3. A confident communicator with the ability to build strong client relationships.
4. A proactive leader with experience mentoring and developing junior team members.
5. Open to new challenges and committed to driving improvements and championing change.
