Pinnacle Group are looking for a dedicated Groundsman to ensure our outdoor spaces are well maintainted and visually appealing. You will be joining our Grounds Maintenance teams who are covering sites across the Castle Point area. Your role will be to sports pitches, grass verges, community fields and a park at a large site in Benfleet. You will need to be reliable, flexible, and capable of working independently. Hours for this position will vary across winter and summer months - April to October: 6.30pm to 4pm, Monday to Friday October to April: 7.30am to 2pm, Monday to Thursday then 7.30am to 12.30pm on Fridays. Key responsibilities will include: Fine turf preparation and renovation including that for bowls croquet cricket pitch and putt etc. General sports preparation and renovation including (but not exclusive) the football, rugby tennis and multi-use games areas (Muga’s)includes lining and placement goal posts. Plan and prepare for seasonal works such as spring prep/start, and end of season renovations ensure that to tools and equipment and materials are organised in advance and ready when required Liaise with support such as the tractor team to conduct maintenance tasks as required such as mowing rolling quaking spiking etc. Grass cutting, strimming edging, hoeing and weeding Key requirements: Full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of one year. Experience within a grounds maintenance, gardening or landscaping setting. PA1/PA6 Pesticide Licences are desireable. Physically fit and able to work with heavy cleaning machinery.
