Job Overview We require a full-time NVQ Assessor with expertise in structural steel erection and associated plant operations (e.g., cranes, telehandlers, slinger signallers, vehicle banksmen) to conduct on-site assessments across the UK. Key Responsibilities On-Site Assessments: Travel nationwide to perform assessments for candidates pursuing NVQs in structural steel erection and associated plant equipment, ensuring all module requirements are met. Workload Management: Organize and manage your own schedule, liaising with candidates to arrange assessments in a timely and efficient manner. Portfolio Development: Utilize Windows software to compile organized, professional digital portfolios for candidates, ensuring evidence reflects achievement of all NVQ modules. Candidate Support: Provide guidance and feedback to candidates, maintaining a professional on-site presence and upholding our client’s high standards. Compliance: Ensure all assessments and portfolios meet accreditation standards, contributing to the successful certification of candidates. Skills and Experience Essential: Proven experience in structural steel erection and associated plant operations (e.g., cranes, telehandlers, slinger signallers, vehicle banksmen). Demonstrable experience in conducting NVQ assessments and building candidate portfolios. Proficiency with Windows software for digital portfolio creation. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently. Professional on-site decorum and excellent communication skills. Desirable: Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification (not essential; training can be provided). Experience with NVQ delivery in steel erection or plant-related fields.
