Knowsley Early Years Service works to build capacity within children, families, and communities through the provision of high-quality accessible universal services and a preventative Early Help offer that will start to break the intergenerational cycles of disadvantage and dependency. Knowsley Early Years will ensure every child grows up in a nurturing environment, with access to public service support helping children to fulfil their potential as they move into primary and secondary education. You will work as a member of the Early Years SEND Team leading and managing targeted and specialist, co-ordinated interventions for families and settings with children 0-5 years displaying a range of complex learning and developmental or medical needs. Supporting the Early Years SEND Manager in Leadership and Management of the SEND Team ensuring the highest standards of practice are maintained in the delivery and implementation of multi-agency SEND/Portage Case Management in compliance with the SEND Code of Practice, you will also be responsibile for the management, oversight and supervision of Early Years SEND Support Practitioners and Early Years Portage Practitioners. You should hold relevant qualifications at Graduate Level (Early Years, SEND, Social Work, Teaching) or have equivalent extensive experience of working with children with complex SEND needs. A Portage Qualification (Portage Workshop) is essential as well as experience of delivering and implementing Portage as well as experience of Practitioner/Staff supervision in an Education, Health, Social care, or other relevant environment. As the role requiers travel across the Borough of Knowsley. Casual Car user allowance is available. Interviews are scheduled for Thursday 10 April 2025.
