One of Randstad's key clients are looking for TWO experienced Residential Support Workers to support a young person in a Dundee based service. The service is looking for workers with flexible availability to support the young person on a 2-1 basis.
Flexible full time availability, including weekend availability is important for this role. They are preferably looking for workers to join a two on two off day shift rota.
To succeed in this role, experience in working with young autistic people with behavioural difficulties is essential. Working closely with other support services you will need to ensure a secure, safe and supportive environment for all service users.
A successful child residential support worker will be responsible for:
- Working effectively as part of a team of child support workers
- Hitting the ground running!
- Providing 24 hours care to a vulnerable young people
- Supporting service users with early trauma and emotional behavioural difficulties
- Taking service users out into the community and to school each day
- Ensuring professional boundaries are in place
- Maintaining professional manner and working to National Care Standards
- Working to a flexible schedule, including night shifts, weekends and bank holidays and Christmas period
