The Industrial Placement - Technical Author role involves researching and developing disassembly and assembly methods, working on prototype and pre-production motorcycles to create the workshop procedures used by our global dealer network and customers.
You will be working with our Design teams to create user instructions describing the latest technology used in our motorcycles. The Technical Author produces documentation including owner’s handbooks, repair and maintenance instructions, setup guides, recalls and service bulletins. Documentation is published to print and online platforms.
The ideal candidate will already have a passion for working in an automotive or engineering environment or a similar technical background. Good written English language skills are required, and technical writing training will be given to the right candidate.
To succeed in this role, you will be highly organised with a keen eye for detail. You will have the ability to produce high quality work and prioritise your workload effectively. You will have strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a high-performance team.
Please note that this role is only open to university students who need to undertake a year out in industry as part of their degree course for the academic year 2025-2026.
