Assembly Operative Pipes (Deburr/Polish) Our client is the world's leading manufacturer of ejection seats, helping to protect aircrew in the world's most advanced military aircraft. Our mission is simple - to save aircrew lives. They are looking to hire an Assembly Operative to work in their Pipes Department, to ensure that all types of products have been deburred, polished and any other processes required have been carried out to the correct quality standard. You will be working a day shift, hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 12 Midday on Fridays. Main tasks: Using programe cards to be able to cut pipes using an electric saw. Set and operate pipe bending machines. Hand fitting pipes to the relevant form blocks and digital measuring equipment, making any adjustments necessary. Carry out inspections in accordance with quality standards and issue the appropriate certificates and stamps. To monitor the fitness for purpose of tools and equipment and provide for their replacement and/or recalibration Characteristics & Skills Advanced deburring techniques desirable. Metal Polishing. Broad experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Basic manufacturing/engineering background.
