Mechanical Fitter
GTS Nitrogen Services Limited
With over forty years experience in the industry, GTS works nationwide to provide expert nitrogen, maintenance and cleaning services to utilities industries and engineering companies. Our maintenance division provides services mostly to the water industry, including everything from building new digester roofs and PV valve servicing to pipework repairs and general maintenance. Our industrial cleaning division provides screen hire along with emptying and cleaning digesters for the water industries.
Due to continued growth, we have a number of opportunities for enthusiastic, hard-working Mechanical Fitters to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical installation of pipework and equipment found on water and water treatment sites, they should have a strong understanding of working to installation drawings and be able to overcome general problems that come up when installing equipment on site.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Setting to technical drawings
2. Welding & fabrication site activities as required
3. Operating site-specific power tools and equipment
4. Adherence to Health and Safety protocols
5. Following instruction from Site Supervisors and Contract Managers
Essential Qualifications:
1. CSCS Card (Labourer minimum requirement)
2. Mechanical Qualification
3. Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Experience working on water utilities sites
2. Coded Welder Qualifications to BS EN 1090 or equivalent
3. Confined Spaces Certification
4. CPCS/NPORS Tickets
5. Any other site related qualifications/tickets e.g. IPAF, PASMA, Compex

Package:
Competitive rates of pay
Full-time basic hours 37.5 per week
