A successful, popular and highly regarded school with over 1000 students, The Hurst School combines outstanding facilities with a real commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive school and PE department.
The facilities are extensive as we have a large leisure centre on site, with a gym, sports hall, large multi-sports halls and a dance studio. We are also in the process of having a floodlit 3G pitch installed which will be completed in the next few months. We currently run a variety of sports trips, from our popular ski trip to local sporting fixtures.
We require a PE Teacher to cover part time hours on a fixed term maternity cover contract. However, full time hours will be considered for a candidate who is willing to teach another subject. The ideal candidate will be caring, patient and self-motivated. They will be able to work from their own initiative and establish a safe, happy and inclusive school where hard work, good behaviour and excellent progress are recognised and rewarded.
