We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Warren Hill, a category C Prison located in Ipswich.
In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
Hours
The site currently offers a 24-hour service and shift patterns
Monday to Friday- 8am to 4pm
Saturday and Sunday- Flexible
Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £40,211 per annum depending on experience.

Qualifications & experience required
12. Current NMC registration
13. Experience of working with patients, face to face, who have complex mental health conditions
14. Experience of psychosocial interventions, group work and awareness of substance misuse
15. A non-judgmental and compassionate approach

Job responsibilities
As a Mental Health Nurse you will work within amulti-disciplinary team carrying out comprehensive assessments, initiating andreviewing care plans, and developing treatment options. You will undertake medication rounds, and assessand treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences and may bedistressed. You will assess patientshealth needs using an evidence based framework and be able to risk assess usesound clinical knowledge, as well as Open, maintain, close and take part inreviews of individuals being managed under the Prison Suicide and Self Harmrisk management system known as Assessment, Care in Custody and Teamwork(ACCT).
You will contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to;
Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seekingout, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalisedand informed by what matters to them.You will work with individuals providing advice, support and informationand manage a case load of patients.
Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference. You will monitor therapeutic responses tomedication and potential side effects liaising with prescribers as required.
Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners andstakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within,and feel proud of.
