You will work for a dynamic and rapidly growing media company based in North West London. The team is passionate about delivering high-quality content across various platforms and are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join the small Finance team and support continued business growth.
Your new role
This is a newly created role, working alongside the Finance Director. Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
1. Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
2. Supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
3. Conducting variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
4. Assisting with the preparation of financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
5. Reconciliation of bank statements.
6. Managing accounts payable and receivable.
7. Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
8. Collaborating with other departments to gather financial information and support business decision-making.
9. Assisting in the preparation for audits and liaising with external auditors as required.
10. Performing ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
You will evidence recent, relevant experience in a similar Assistant Accountant/Management Accountant role. The client is looking for someone who is eager to learn, roll their sleeves up, and be part of a small yet high-achieving finance team.
