Role: Senior Service Operations Manager
Location: Remote across multiple locations outside of London within the UK
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation committed to maintaining and enhancing the operational integrity of its core services, including payments, lending, banking, core operations, and IT enablement.
Aligned with the Value Stream Leadership team, the Senior Service Operations Manager will manage L2 application support, collaborate with external service providers, and play a key role in delivering new products and services, essentially being the liaison between the business and engineering from a change perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as a servant-leader, championing agile practices and continuous improvement.
2. Provide mentorship to team members and align technology initiatives with business objectives.
3. Collaborate with the Head of ITSM to integrate service operation practices and drive service quality improvements.
4. Own the risk to production of new deliverables and ensure compliance with quality gateways during the SDLC.
5. Maintain a comprehensive view of the end-to-end service landscape, including architecture, processes, and third-party contributions.
6. Embed service design principles into all deliverables and prioritise DevOps workloads to ensure 24/7 operational support.
What You'll Bring:
1. Must have experience working within banking/financial services directly.
2. Proven leadership experience in managing high-performing teams and driving service improvement initiatives.
3. Strong strategic management skills to align IT services with business objectives.
4. Expertise in ITSM tools, SIAM frameworks, and IT service delivery within complex environments.
5. In-depth understanding of architectural landscapes, operational processes, and performance metrics.
6. Familiarity with ITIL governance frameworks and experience with service integration practices.
