Assistant Management Accountant Ross-on-Wye Up to £35k The role is based at head office near Ross-on-Wye, within our 10-strong Finance & Administration team. The successful candidate will have strong Accountancy and Communication skills to help add further value to the team. This role is an integral link between the Management Accountant, Operations and other members of the Finance team. We're after a strong and timely communicator who can build relationships with employees across the group and therefore daily interaction is essential with farm and other managers and staff based all over the UK. Applicants should have a passion for customer service, keenness to learn, an eye for detail, and experience in the use of the Microsoft Office packages. Salary & Benefits: Hours of work are 37.5 per week with some flexibility on start/end time. Work days are Monday to Friday, office based. Job Description Assistant Management Accountant The Assistant Management Accountant has deadlines to work to, including: the publishing of Poultry Crop Profit and Loss Reports and the completion of the Month End Procedure. The role works closely with and reports to the Poultry Management Accountant. Responsibilities: Production of Profit and Loss Reports, adhering to deadlines. Dealing with stakeholder queries, ensuring that information from Managers is received on time to be able to hit your own deadlines. Balance Sheet Reconciliations and journal postings (including but not limited to Accruals and Prepayments). Supporting with the completion of the Month End Procedure. Be a pioneer for positive change within financial processes and procedures. Variance analysis reporting vs budget and full year forecasts. Supporting the Management Accountant and Financial Controller in ad hoc tasks as requested. Personal Strengths: Strong PC skills, including experience with Accounting Packages and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. Multi-tasker who can switch between tasks whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Great communication and customer service skills professional and helpful builds strong working relationships. Excellent organisational skills and knows the importance of efficient and effective processes and record-keeping. Ability to work both autonomously and part of a team to achieve desired outcomes. A forward-thinker who takes ownership of their role and responsibilities and uses their initiative to find solutions to problems. Skills, Abilities and Experience: Technical Accounting Qualification. AAT qualified or CIMA/ACCA/ACA Part Qualified. Candidates who are qualified by experience will also be considered. Strong PC skills are essential.
