I.T Project Manager - Heathrow - Temp

We are seeking experienced Project Managers to join the security transformation programme at Heathrow. This role involves comprehensive technical support, project management, and engineering services, focusing on passive IT infrastructure including networks, terminals, displays, access control systems, and CCTV. Experience in delivering large-scale IT projects in these areas is essential. The position is full-time, primarily on-site at Heathrow (approx. 4 days per week), with an expected duration of at least 12 months.
The ideal candidate will exhibit strong project leadership skills, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of complex design projects. Responsibilities include project bidding, management throughout the lifecycle, and proactive problem-solving. Candidates will work with diverse suppliers and styles and should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership on large IT projects.
Collaborate constructively with clients to meet Atkins’ commercial objectives.
Ensure projects meet business revenue, profit, and cash-flow expectations.
Take a leadership role in bid preparation and project delivery.
Coordinate with practice managers for planning and resourcing bids and projects.
Develop and maintain client relationships to support project performance and potential new work.
Achieve personal and team productivity targets.
Ensure compliance with Business Management, HSE, and Quality procedures.
Stay updated on design and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Degree qualified (degree or HNC in a relevant Engineering Discipline) preferable.
Chartered status or working towards it desirable.
Experience and Skills:
Extensive project management experience in large value information communication systems and telecoms-related projects.
Experience with Heathrow, their Contractors, and third parties is advantageous but not essential.
Proven experience in managing a project portfolio.
Good understanding of design procedures, change control, checking, and review requirements.
Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.
Ideally APMP or PRINCE2 qualified.
Ideally holds a health and safety qualification in CDM or APS, IOSHH.
Required: CSCS or equivalent
