About The Role
We are looking for a Personal Advisor to help us on our improvement journey within the Leaving Care Team. You will be supporting 16 - 25 year olds to help them access education, training, employment, activities, suitable accommodation, and to develop skills that equip them to live their lives independently.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support young people in accessing education, training, and employment.
2. Assist in finding suitable accommodation.
3. Develop skills for independent living.
Minimum Requirements:
You hold a Level 3 (or above) qualification in a relevant child care or child development discipline with experience of working with young people in a similar supporting role. You should have a good understanding of issues such as mental health, substance misuse, housing legislation, support, and safeguarding.
You'll need to be confident in managing complex situations and have a high level of emotional resilience to respond to others' trauma. A quick thinker with the ability to make decisions in times of crisis, your excellent communication skills will hold firm when verbal communication isn't available.
