Mechanical Design Project Engineer - Hydrogen
* Location: East Region - travel to sites based in North Nottinghamshire, East Lincolnshire, and North Leicestershire
* Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 GROSS plus up to £9,000 bonus (target up to 25%, paid quarterly and annually)
* 40-hour week, Monday - Friday.

Join the UK's leading renewable energy generator of low carbon power from captured landfill and mineral methane. The company produces electricity by capturing methane from landfill sites, generating low carbon electricity.
As a Mechanical Design Project Engineer, your responsibilities include:
* Leading technical delivery and identifying new technologies to grow and diversify the company's portfolio and revenue streams.
* Managing projects from inception, feasibility, design, to execution, with experience in power generation preferred.
* Being present on-site, focusing on project execution and technology development.
* Maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
* Degree, HND/HNC in Engineering or equivalent
* Relevant experience in power generation or industrial engineering
* Project engineering/management experience with strong technical skills
* Knowledge of codes of practice and standards
* Strong communication skills, self-motivated, positive attitude, able to handle multiple projects
* Delivery-focused, logical, and critical thinking skills
* Enthusiasm for learning
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel
Responsibilities:
* Leading complex and routine projects with diligence
* Operational optimization and technology advancement from concept to pilot projects
* Engaging with technology suppliers and users
* Supporting project development and routine projects
* Ensuring lean project scoping and maintaining challenge
* Developing project pipelines with at least 12 months outlook
* Communicating effectively with stakeholders and reporting to senior management
* Ensuring project progress, quality, performance, and financial targets are met
Profile:
* Degree or equivalent in Engineering
* Relevant experience in power generation or industrial engineering
* Project management experience with a strong technical background
* Knowledge of standards and codes
* Excellent communication and multitasking skills
* Delivery-oriented, logical, and critical thinker
* Enthusiastic about learning
* Full UK driving license and flexible to travel
