About The Role
If you’d like to support your local community by helping to ensure that people who are worried about or affected by dementia are aware of the support and advice services we offer, we have just the role for you!
You’ll support local events, hold information stands, and display leaflets in a variety of venues and locations highly visible in your community, such as libraries and GP surgeries. You’ll make sure the information publicised in your community is up to date and accurate. You’ll also establish connections with local organisations and community groups to help achieve widespread awareness of the support we offer. As a representative of Alzheimer's Society, we will provide you with branded clothing, and you may also have the opportunity to be included in event pictures to showcase the Society work in the local media.
This role is for someone who has the time to help on an adhoc basis, help to spread the awareness of the dementia pathway from pre diagnosis through to end of life. Working alongside the Community Development team, attending community events to help raise the awareness of dementia and the support that is available to people affected by dementia. A great role for someone who likes talking and interacting with people and who would like to help make a difference to their community
