MCS Group is partnering with a truly innovative and completely unique UK technology company in their search for a technical Pre-Sales Solution Architect. With innovation at the heart of everything they do, they have spun out some fascinating cutting-edge products in the AI and Machine Learning space over recent years along with partnering with some of world's biggest brands to deliver cutting edge solutions. With a team of close to 30 working across the UK, 2025 (and beyond) is shaping up to be a huge year of growth for the business and this Pre-Sales Solution Architect will play a key role in that growth. This is predominantly a work from home role, but the successful candidate will be expected to travel a few days per week to work with clients across the south of England; think Bristol, Southampton and London. Candidates must also be eligible for security clearance. The Role The Solution Architect will sit between our client's commercial and engineering teams, supporting software projects from both a technical and commercial standpoint, while having the mentorship of (and a dotted line to) the Head of Technology. You'll work with clients (primarily in the defence sector) to scope requirements, helping them understand the problems they are looking technology to solve and relaying that back to the wider business and engineering teams. You'll play a key role in driving the growth of a brand new AI product from both a technical and business stand point. You'll get involved in uncovering further opportunities from a business development perspective through building relationships with client stakeholders. You'll be really successful in this position if you have: A technical background - you've been a developer/software engineer and understand the SDLC (ideally having experience with Python) Experience of working previously on Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning, LLM, GPT AI projects. Strong communication skills and previous consultancy experience. Experience of working within the defence sector or at the very least delivering software within government and/or public sector environments. Flexibility to travel and work with UK customers directly - a few times per month.
