Elevate Projects are working in partnership with our client, a local authority, to approach and appoint an experienced interim Building Control Surveyor, a vital role in ensuring that construction projects are safe, sustainable, and meet all legal requirements:
1. Compliance with Building Regulations
1. Ensuring that construction projects meet current building codes and safety regulations.
2. Reviewing and approving plans, designs, and specifications for new buildings, extensions, and renovations.
3. Issuing building permits and other relevant approvals.
2. Site Inspections
1. Conducting regular site inspections to verify that construction work complies with approved plans, safety standards, and relevant regulations.
2. Identifying potential issues or non-compliance during construction and recommending corrective actions.
3. Ensuring health and safety protocols are adhered to on-site.
3. Risk Management
1. Assessing potential risks associated with building designs, materials, or construction methods.
2. Ensuring fire safety, structural integrity, and energy efficiency are addressed in building designs and during construction.
4. Communication and Coordination
1. Liaising with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve design or construction issues.
2. Providing technical advice and guidance on building control matters to construction teams and developers.
3. Acting as a point of contact between the construction team and local authorities or government agencies.
