You'll lead data governance, establish architecture artefacts, and coach a team of Data Engineers and a QA professional. What You’ll Do Define the Future of Data: Create robust data architecture artefacts, from conceptual models to migration strategies, ensuring scalability and security. Drive Innovation: Stay ahead of trends by leveraging modern technologies and cloud data services like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS. Champion Data Governance: Establish and enforce data principles, policies, and governance standards across the enterprise. Lead with Impact: Manage and mentor a team of skilled data professionals, empowering them to excel and innovate. Deliver Excellence: Oversee end-to-end data solutions, optimising infrastructure for performance, cost efficiency, and compliance. What We’re Looking For Cloud Expertise: Proficiency in GCP services like Big Query, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub, along with AWS knowledge. Data Mastery: Expertise in data modelling, governance frameworks, ETL processes, and big data technologies like Apache Hadoop and Spark. Leadership: Proven ability to guide teams, foster collaboration, and drive strategic initiatives. Problem Solver: Strong analytical skills to tackle complex technical challenges. Continuous Learner: Commitment to staying updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices. Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or a related field. 5–7 years of professional experience in data management, with a focus on GCP architecture. Certification as a GCP Professional Data Engineer or equivalent. Demonstrated success in leading data architecture projects, managing budgets, and enforcing governance frameworks.
