Flexibility is key due to the nature of the role, with a rota provided 12 weeks in advance. About the Role: As a PCO at our court, you’ll work as part of a team to provide safe and secure escorting and custody services to detainees, focusing on their wellbeing. Key duties include: Escorting defendants within the court and maintaining safety and security. Monitoring and supervising detainees during court sessions. Maintaining confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information. Ensuring detainees' access to food and drink, catering to dietary restrictions. Monitoring the mental and physical health of detainees. Ensuring the safety and security of the court environment. Conducting thorough searches to prevent contraband. Completing paperwork and data entry accurately. Requirements: We seek candidates committed to making a difference. Ideally, you’ll have a valid driver's license, be reasonably fit, and possess good communication skills. Assessment Process: Includes an online assessment, briefing call, competency-based virtual interview, and a short role-play and written exercise. Additional Information: All roles are subject to Enhanced Level 2 checks with Enhanced DBS and satisfactory references.
