Develop a robust, comprehensive and practical People integration plan for each business acquisition, making best use of Fletchers’ resources to achieve the agreed deadlines. Accountable for the design and delivery of the agreed plan for each M&A integration project, including co-ordination and follow-up of all actions. Coordinate the design of any bespoke People materials (letters, benefits documents etc) required for each M&A integration. Lead the organisational design of the ‘to be’ business at point of integration including workshops, stakeholder management, defining structures and forming a plan to reach the end state Support operational managers with any People issues before, during and throughout the integration process. Complete reviews for each project, ensuring that learning is captured and implemented in subsequent projects. Work collaboratively and proactively with Fletchers’ People Leadership Team to ensure consistency of approach. Essential Skills and Experience: Broad generalist HR knowledge and experience (including general employment law, TUPE, remuneration, talent management, employee relations and organisational development), Specific application of the above in delivering M&A activity, with evidence of at least 10 previous successful transfer integrations Demonstrable experience of developing and leading the People aspects of post-acquisition integration projects, ideally gained within the legal or professional service sectors Excellent stakeholder management skills, including demonstrable experience of bringing together multidisciplinary professional groups to agree resolution of difficult People issues Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrable experience of successfully and positively engaging colleagues in change and transformation processes A proactive approach, with the ability to identify issues and design solutions independently, and then secure stakeholder agreement Strong project management and organisation skills: able to project plan effectively across multiple projects at once, and deliver the finalised projects on time Excellent data analysis skills and an advanced user of Microsoft Excel Proven ability to respect confidentiality and commercial sensitivity Ability to exemplify and promote Fletchers’ values and approach to people leadership “Tech-savvy” – able to get the best out of new and existing technologies Desirable Skills and Experience: Graduate-level membership (or equivalent) of the CIPD A legal sector background is not required, however experience of working in professional services would be beneficial.
