About the Opportunity Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station. We are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Planner, working in the Central Controls Teams as part of the Planning Discipline of Project Controls, under the direction and leadership of the IPC Planning Manager, to be responsible for the management of the Level 2/4 (client) Integrated Work Schedule (IWS) in adherence with HPC processes. This will include managing the alignment of Level 3 (contract) schedules, and provision of time-related data and analysis. To support the IPC PlanningManager in leading central Planning activities for the Project and in developing Planning standards, policies and strategies. To support EDF Energy in making informed decisions to support the efficient and timely delivery of work scope. Role Responsibilities: - Support the IPC Lead Planner in the implementation and maintenance of Project Controls processes for Planning - Support Senior Project/ Programme Managers including the production of monthly reports, through the provision of intelligent information and analysis. - Collaborate with other Disciplines of Integrated Project Controls, as well as other Project Support Functions, to help deliver Project goals in keeping with the HPC principles of Trust, Transparency and Teamwork - Produce and maintain the schedule baseline IWS in Primavera 6 (P6), with fully logic-linked work plans aligned to the Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and utilising approved construction techniques. - Ensure the Level 2/4 IWS is updated to an agreed timeframe. - Assist in the Trend & Change process, including analysis at Project level, generating performance indicators and providing feedback on areas of risk and opportunities. - Identify, analyse and provide solutions to time-related issues. - Co-ordinate, verify and produce Project-level schedule reports to a defined reporting cycle, including commentary on key time-related drivers and performance issues. - Adhere to Project governance and Scheduling standards and procedures. - Ensure all Project documents, in particular Sensitive Nuclear Information, are correctly protectively marked, and protected in accordance with EDF policies and procedures. - Minimum of a degree in Engineering, Construction or other related field, or HND or equivalent qualification with recognised experience commensurate with a degree. - Professionally qualified with chartered or equivalent status. - Proven relevant experience in a Project Management or Project Controls environment in a similar Scheduling role on a major construction project. - Substantial experience in the use of scheduling software, ideally Primavera P6 version 7 and above. - Experience of commercial contracting Our Culture Our values stand on a foundation of safety, integrity, inclusion and diversity.
