An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for an Assistant Supervisor (Machine Surfacing) to join our Roads department on a permanent basis.

Position Details
Reporting to the Machine Surfacing Supervisor/Works Controller/Depot Manager, you will assist with the supervision of a range of generic frontline operational staff, in the delivery of services within Roads maintenance, winter maintenance, traffic management, and other emergencies.
You must be able to motivate a team, prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and demonstrate the ability to find solutions to problems affecting frontline service delivery.
Minimum Requirements:
* A current driving licence
* A standard literacy and numeracy qualification
* Relevant supervisory experience of frontline operational staff
* Previous experience in the Roads or Civil/Construction industry
Desirable Qualifications:
* A formal qualification to SVQ level 3 in a relevant discipline or training to SVQ level 3 in an area appropriate to the role
* A C1 licence and CPC
* A C2 licence and CPC
* An HUAC supervisor qualification
* Completion of a construction skills certification scheme
* Risk assessment training
* First Aid/Fire Warden training or a willingness to complete such training

Contract Details
Weekly Hours: 37 hours
Work Pattern: Sunday - Thursday
Annual Salary: £29,751.95 - £33,585.88 on an incremental scale
Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary, the role attracts a non-standard work pattern/hours (NSWPH) payment of £2,091 and a working context & demand (WCD) payment of £1,127.
