Role: Residential Support Worker Children and Young People
Location: Birmingham - MUST BE A DRIVER
Pay: TBC
Contract: Perm Hours: Working day/ Waking Nights

Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support to adults with various needs, including behavioural support, mental health, non-verbal support and communication and learning difficulties.
- Assist individuals with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting, while promoting their independence and dignity.
- Support clients in their daily activities, including meal preparation, medication management, and household chores.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals involved in their care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Must have minumum 6months UK experience in workning with Children and Young People
- Level 3 in Health and Social Care/ Level 3 in Residential Children Care is a must
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential. We welcome applications from individuals with a genuine passion for supporting Children and Young People.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with service users and their families.
- Empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature to provide emotional support to individuals facing various challenges.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic care environment. - Basic knowledge of using IT equipment, which is touch screen such as iPad, phones, having computer skills.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is essential.
- Up to date medication, moving and manual handling training
- Enhanced Adult and Child workforce DBS on the update service
- The successful applicant must have great communication skills to communicate effectively with a positive can-do attitude
