PLOW is an elevated "Fine Farm to Table" restaurant located not in Chicago, not in Milwaukee, not in Madison, but in the charming village of Cambridge, 16 miles southeast of Madison and 10 minutes from Ft. Atkinson. Cambridge has a population of 1650 residents but also has the draw of Lake Ripley, CamRock trails, Rowe Pottery, Dancing Goat Distillery, Cambridge winery, Cambridge Inn and a host of dedicated small businesses. Plow Restaurant is in a former Grist Mill from the mid 1800s and in the heart of the village's downtown district. People often come to Cambridge and enjoy The PLOW as a destination from as far away as Rockford, Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison drive to Cambridge for dinner.
With recent renovations, PLOW has expanded the footprint and begun a renovation of back of the house prep areas and front of the house dining areas to handle events, catering, and expanded hours. Phase one of the renovations, the structural footprint and Cigar and Bourbon bar, were completed in 2024 and we have now moved to final phase of completion after opening in limited capacity for the holidays and will reopen the dining room February 19th, 2025. The front bar area only will continue to be open January and February as finishing touches of the dining and loft areas are completed. The ideal candidate would be ready to see this opportunity as part time and become full time in spring when the dining room reopens.
PLOW features a full bar with craft cocktails, and indoor and patio seating as well.
The food is incredible. Much is locally sourced. Menu items include vegetarian lasagna, New York Strip, fish fry, wood fired Neapolitan pizza, smoked prime rib in our CookShack FEC500 outdoor smoker, culminating in a unique cooking experience.
